Hemis Monastery

Hemis Monastery, located in the serene and picturesque region of Ladakh, is one of the most significant and largest monasteries in the Indian Himalayas. Established in 1630 by Stagsang Raspa Nawang Gyatso, this Tibetan Buddhist monastery belongs to the Drukpa Lineage of the Mahayana Buddhism sect.
